Original & peça única.

Dissenyat i realitzat a l’atelier O TÈXTIL de Vulpellac. Trama i ordit amb calats de gran lleugeresa de mohair i seda de color negre. Voravius també del mateix material. Detall de dues línies més denses per aportar contrast a la transparència de la peça. El mohair dona gran sensació d’abric, la seda molta lleugeresa, resistència i una mica de brillantor.

Material : mohair (75% ) i seda (25%). Biodegradable

Mesures: 182 x 48 cm
Mesures sense serrells.

Tècnica: teler manual Ashford de 50cm amb pinta de 2/10

El mohair prové del pèl de la cabra d’Angora i té aquestes propietats:

• Suavitat i lluentor: És molt suau al tacte i té un acabat setinat.
• Calidesa: Té una gran capacitat tèrmica, proporcionant molta escalfor sense ser pesant.
• Durabilitat: És resistent i difícil de trencar, tot i que delicat en el rentat.
• Elasticitat: Té una certa elasticitat natural, que li permet conservar bé la forma.
• Transpirabilitat: Tot i ser calent, permet que la pell respiri.

La seda, provinent del cuc de seda, ofereix aquestes qualitats:

• Lluentor natural: Té un brillantor elegant i colors intensos.
• Suavitat extrema: És delicada i molt agradable a la pell.
• Lleugeresa: Molt lleugera, però proporciona certa calor segons el gruix.
• Resistència: Sorprenentment forta malgrat la seva delicadesa aparent.
• Termoreguladora: Manté la calor a l’hivern i refresca a l’estiu.

Quan es combinen la seda i el mohair, el resultat és un écharpe que:

• És suau i brillant, amb un toc eteri.
• Proporciona calidesa lleugera.
• Té caiguda fluida i elegant.
• És resistent però delicat al tacte.

Això sí, cal tenir molta cura en el rentat, millor rentar-lo a mà submergint-lo amb aigua freda o templada i una mica se sabó neutre o directament suavitzant. Aclarar sense torçar i secar en plà. O bé portar-lo a la tintoreria.

Designed and handwoven with an Ashford loom at the O TÈXTIL atelier in Vulpellac. Woven with an openwork pattern for lightness, using 75% mohair and 25% silk in black. Black selvedges made from the same material. The design includes two denser lines to create contrast against the piece’s transparency. Mohair adds a soft touch and a great sense of warmth.

Mohair comes from the Angora goat’s hair and has the following properties:

• Softness and sheen: Very soft to the touch with a silky finish.
• Warmth: Excellent thermal capacity, providing warmth without being heavy.
• Durability: Strong and hard to break, though delicate when washing.
• Elasticity: Has natural elasticity, helping it maintain its shape.
• Breathability: Despite its warmth, it allows the skin to breathe.

Silk, derived from the silk worm, offers these qualities:

• Natural sheen: Elegant shine and intense colors.
• Extreme softness: Delicate and very pleasant on the skin.
• Lightness: Extremely light yet offers a certain warmth depending on its thickness.
• Strength: Surprisingly strong despite its delicate appearance.
• Thermoregulating: Retains warmth in winter and cools in summer.

Mohair + Silk Combination When combined, the result is a scarf that:

• Is soft and shiny, with an ethereal touch.
• Provides light warmth.
• Has a fluid and elegant drape.
• Is strong yet delicate to the touch.

Care instructions: Handle with care. It is best to hand wash by gently submerging in cold or lukewarm water with a small amount of neutral soap or fabric softener. Rinse without twisting and dry flat. Alternatively, take it to a professional dry cleaner.
